Welcome to 2017! I know it has been some time since I’ve posted on my blog and while I could give you a huge variety of reasons for this I’ve decided not to review on 2016 but instead plan for the new year as I want to look to the future and to more exciting goals and achievements.
Currently I’m in Queenstown, New Zealand. I’m seeing more of the country I’ve lived in for nearly seven months because it’s overdue. In the short term I plan on seeing this city as well as Oamaru and Timaru along with a trip to the beautiful Catlins because it is such a gorgeous country to be active in and I want to do more of that.
My biggest goal for 2017, however, is to see ten new countries so it has left me with an interesting itinerary that I am organizing but here is a month by month rundown of my travel intentions for 2017. This is subject to changes but this will certainly be the general idea.
January - Queenstown, Oamaru
February - MoerakI
March - Catlins National Park
April - Timaru
May - Paihia
June - Auckland, Tonga
July - Hamilton
August - Indonesia, Timor-Leste, Singapore, Malaysia
September - Thailand, Vietnam, Laos
October - Myanmar, Bangladesh, Nepal
November - India, Bhutan, Sri Lanka
December - Thailand, Indonesia, Australia
This is the roughest of rough travel outlines and most of it is in New Zealand or bouncing around Asia. My hope is to see as much as humanly possible in these places but I do have to replenish funds which means travelling very cheaply - which I’m afraid I haven’t been doing too much of lately. My hope is to utilize the opportunities I’ve been given to live in Oceania and being so close to Asia where I would normally find it difficult to find myself. The only question remains is where are you going to be in 2017?
